Iceland Wedding Photographer - Black Church Elopement

I still remember how excited we were when T+P first contacted us about doing their wedding photos and wedding film in Iceland. They travelled all the way from Australia for their elopement in Iceland and their wedding day could not have been better. They stayed at the very charming Hotel Budir on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula where we met with them in the morning of their wedding day. They got ready together in the same room and were able to do a few getting ready photos with them. We think there is something so sweet about that and we love when couples get ready together.

Their wedding ceremony was held just a few steps away from the hotel, inside the famous Budir Church, also known as "The Black Church" in Iceland. It was such a beautiful and intimate ceremony with just the two of them and the priest. Afterwards, we wondered over to the nearby moss and lava fields for a few wedding photos before heading over to the dramatic sea cliffs at Arnarstapi, a tiny little old fishing town. T+P were brave enough to cross the natural sea bridge or sea arch that you can walk on and we got some spectacular photos of it.

We hope you enjoy their elopement photo story!
